Overview: Our relationship with The Galleria in Ft. Lauderdale goes back to 1982 when it was first developed by Leonard L. Farber, Inc. In 2017, we were proud to complete several renovation projects that helped keep the mall looking fresh on the inside while changing parts of the façade on the outside.

The largest project included transforming the 80’s architecture of the former Saks Fifth Avenue building into a contemporary retail space and office center. The former Saks space was divided into a bi-level H&M store and half of the upper level became a Regus Office Center. New elevator and escalator locations had to be established. The biggest challenge was opening up the two large exterior walls of the north and east end of the mall to accommodate window glazing structures without flooding the businesses still in operation throughout construction. Read more about the challenges of the retrofit glazing project.

In addition to these major remodeling projects, we also completed a renovation of the mall’s public restrooms, painting the interior of the mall, and various improvements to the east end of the building, such as interior finishes to expand the common areas to the new storefronts in that section. Our relationship with The Galleria has lasted for over 35 years and we look forward to serving Ft. Lauderdale’s construction needs for the next 35.
