Jeune Jesus Miracle Church is located at 11250 NW 7th Avenue in Miami. After doing much due diligence, the parish selected GSD Contracting based on our past success building many churches in South Florida. The quality of our work and attention to detail on the Notre Dame d’Haiti Catholic Church, also located in Miami, impressed the parish enough to entrust GSD Contracting with their new church construction.
GSD has also worked with the Archdiocese of Miami for many years and built or renovated many churches in Miami and Fort Lauderdale. In addition to Jeune Jesus Miracle Church and Notre Dame d’Haiti Catholic Church in Miami’s Little Haiti, we also built St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, St. Maximillian Kolby, St. Mark’s, and St. Benedict’s to name others.
GSD Contracting is always excited to take on interesting and unique projects that test our commercial construction and renovation skills. This project involved converting an old automotive retail store into a church. It was no easy task, but we were up for the challenge.
No two buildings could be further apart than a church and a retail store, so we had to utilize our 40 years of experience as a church general contractor. First, utilizing renderings provided by the project architect, we were tasked with coming up with a cost effective means of constructing to their vision, ultimately bringing a spiritual presence and providing the building character. Foundations were extended a framed exterior steel structure was added, bringing the building new life with 34ft high A-frame roof extensions. This brings new definition to the building setting it apart from its original purpose.
Interior remodels have taken place along the way with new finishes, fire alarms, restroom renovations and a new pulpit for services. The church is simple yet reverent in design perfectly reflecting the humble nature of its congregants.
GSD is always honored and humbled to work within places of worship. No matter what faith we may serve; we are always cognizant of the need to be respectful and empathetic. We insist that the conduct of all workers on site be above reproach, showing respect for building a sacred facility.
We’re thrilled to be a part of the Jeune Jesus Miracle Church project and excited to see where the future takes this congregation.
